🧡Orange wine. It’s all the rage these days. I tend to jump on and off the bandwagon. This one I’m staying on for and plan to be all.summer.long. Sauvignon Blanc is the grape. This is from the Loire and if ever there was a quaffable orange, this it it! Clementines, chamomile, candied ginger - a slightly chewy finish. A little funk but not too much. Look for it in Alanna’s Picks or in our fridge. Organic!

‼️We only have a few left - join us this week to try two customer favorites out of Maine. We’re checking out a Summer hit, and a year rounder that people love to come back for.

🔅First up is the lighter lager by Banded Brewing Company - Wicked Bueno Mexican Lager. 4.3% - Brewed for a time of year when we don’t know what the weather will bring. A lighthearted Mexican-style Lager that radiates the sunshine.

🔅Compare it with Bissell Brothers Brewery - Substance Ale - Our precious flagship 6.6%. Brightly dank and designed to be just mysterious enough. Hopped with Falconer’s Flight, Centennial, Apollo, Chinook, and Simcoe.

👌One of my favorite wineries is Lieu Dit! I was so excited to try their inaugural vintage Cabernet Sauvignon. This Cab is herbaceous and full of just-ripe red and black berries, and a hint of tobacco. There are just the right amount of tannins - nice and on the lighter side for a cab!

👌Volcans D’Auvergne Lava Chardonnay Puy De Dome - 100% Chardonnay! So fresh and clean, it screams to be drank on a sunny Spring afternoon. On the nose it’s full of peach and honeydew, a little vanilla. It’s got grapefruit all the way through and a juicy finish.

Semillon is a grape that is most often blended with Sauvignon Blanc (white Bordeaux, anyone?). But it turns out that Hunter Valley in Australia grows a lot of Semillon - it is their ‘signature dish’. Really bright with pure fruit flavors - oranges, green apples, kiwi, lemon and a prominent lime note on the crisp finish. If you’re into Loire Sauvignon Blanc, this is worth a try.

✨ Friday Beer Tasting! ✨

We only have one more month of in-shop tastings before our Summer officially kicks off. Today (4-6pm) we’re tasting two beers from a local Cape Cod Brewery - Devil’s Purse. @devilspursebrewing

First up is their well known Handline Kolsch, 5%. It’s brewed in a traditional German style. Crisp, clean and refreshing, full of citrus and notes of earthy lemongrass. Perfectly light and sippable for early Spring.

Next up is their Stonehorse IPA at 6%. It’s made with 100% Citra hops! Very aromatic and flavorful. Heavy notes of grapefruit zest and lime.

Stop by and taste some local flavors!
